Flute”
Flute
classes for beginners - the better you play, the more fun you’ll have
What do we
do in “Simply Flute”?
Learn
the shortcuts for sounding great on flute!
We will cover breathing, tone, articulation, technique and
repertoire. Students will learn the
fundamentals of flute playing through lively, interactive activities. They will learn the secrets of effective
practicing, plus, what performance control is all about. The course includes the fundamentals of flute
playing plus information on how to prepare for auditions, challenges in band,
recitals and ASD Solo and Ensemble. The
course is for students grades 6-8.
Dates: Fridays,
February 9 – March 16, 2007 4:00-5:30 pm

Cassetta Competition awards a $1,000 scholarship to a
senior in high school who is planning to continue with music studies. This can be as a major or minor in college,
